I am a Byng High School alumni class of 2019. I attended college at East Central University and graduated in 2023.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and I am certified in Elementary Education.
I have participated in many NASA OKSG professional developments through the NASA OKSG STELLAR program. NASA OKSG STELLAR is a year-long mentorship for pre-service and in-service educators that equips teachers with the tools and skills to incorporate STEAM into all subjects in the classroom. Through this program, I have completed over 400 hours of STEAM-related professional development. I am currently a mentor to the current and future STELLAR participants.
I attended and presented at SEEC 2022 and 2023. SEEC is the Space Exploration Educators Conference at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. Hundreds of educators from all over the world attended this conference and were immersed in keynote speakers, hands-on breakout sessions, booths, VIP tours, and more conducted by NASA educators, researchers, scientists, and astronauts.
Through presenting at SEEC in 2023, I was able to complete a NASA internship at the Johnson Space Center in the OSTEM department in the summer of 2023.
I have been working at Homer Elementary School since 2020. Currently, I am teaching Pre-K.
Before becoming a certified teacher at Homer, I worked the before-school and after-school extended day programs. I was an extended day worker and substitute teacher at Homer for four years. I have also worked at Sterling Public Library where I managed the 3-year-old storytime.
I am currently engaged to my lovely fiancé Miko Milligan. We will be getting married in October 2023. We have a mini weenie dog named Lily.
Some hobbies of mine include reading a good book, running 10k’s in different towns in Oklahoma, indoor rock climbing, and playing board games!
When I am not teaching, you will find me outside or in an airplane. I am currently working towards my private pilot's license.
