HOMER

I began my teaching career in 1998.  I am returning to Byng Schools for the second time in my career.  I am extremely excitied to be teaching third grade at Homer Elementary.

I have previously taught in the Ada Schools, Davis Schools, Oklahoma City Public Schools, and most recently Konawa School. 

Over the last twently five years I have taught grades 1^st – 12^th in various subjects and grade levels. 

My experience in teaching and directing special education students has had a profound impact on my career and I believe has made me a better teacher and person.  

I am married to Gregg Wallis and we have four adult children who all graduated from Byng School.  These amazing children have given me seven grandchildren who are the light of my life.  Six of my grandkids attend Byng School and I have one grandson who attends Oklahoma Christain Academy in Edmond.

In addition, my husband and I have three spoiled dogs who live with us.  

I enjoy reading, traveling, and spoiling my grandkids rotten. 

When I am not teaching or working in my classroom, you will find me at home with my family.

I do work part-time for the City of Ada as a score keeper at The Hill, and I manage the Glenwood Swimming Pool in the summers.
