I graduated from Moore High School in 1985, this is when Moore only had one High School. My graduating class had approx. 1100 people in it, we were not a small school, lol. I decided later in life to go to college and went back as an adult, I went to OCCC for several years for all of my basic college course work. I then transferred to East Central University in Ada, where I graduated in 2003 with my Bachelor in Science, then again in 2005 with a Master’s in Education.
I have an under graduate degree in Early Childhood education with a minor in Elementary education. My Master degree is is Elementary Administration, (elementary principal). I started a second graduate program for school counselor, but has to stop about half way through the program. I currently hold Oklahoma certifications in Early childhood, Elementary education, mild/moderate disabilities (special education), Elementary princial, and PE/Saftey/Health. I am certified in first aid, eppi-pen use, AED, and CPR. As a coach, we also have to be certified in concussion, heat stroke, and sudden cardiac arrest protocols.
This year is my 13th year with Byng Schools, I started teaching pre-school at Homer Elementary in 2003. I taught pre-school for 6 years, 4th grade for one year, and this is my 6th year to teach PE and 5th grade track. I currently am teaching PE to grades pre-school to 4th grade and 5th grade track.
Prior to teachig, I held various positions while going to school full time. I drove a bus for Byng while at ECU, I worked at ECU in between classes as a student worker. I managed a small communications company that specialized in cell phone and home phone service. I also worked at Monte Vista Academy for about a year. Before I decided to go back to school I spent over a decade in various sales jobs, mostly retail.

I am pretty busy just being a husband, father, and teacher so there isn’t much down time. I spend most of my free time with my family, it’s my favorite thing to do. I do however enjoy a few things. I love music, it’s always on in my gym at school, at home, or in my head. I am a stereo geek, I love home and car audio. It is a very expensive hobbie so it isn’t indulged as often as I would like. I love to detail cars, but I just keep to our own cars now, bad knee’s and elbow’s!! One of my most favorite thing’s in the while world is OU Football. I am borderline obssessed, so my wife tells me. I can’t wait for it start. BOOMER SOONER!!!!!!!!
